There is no better way to have fun, make friends, and compete than USTA League Tennis. Spring Adult USTA leagues are perfect for players looking for a structured, yet fun tennis environment.
Format & Structure
Levels: Leagues follow the USTA’s NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) system, with divisions typically ranging from 2.5 (beginner) to 5.0+ (advanced).
Age Groups: Include 18 & Over, 40 & Over, 55 & Over, and 65 & Over.
Team Matches: Players form into teams which compete against each other over a 6-10 week season. All leagues include doubles matches and some age groups/levels include singles matches. Depending on the level and age group, each match consists of three to five lines.
Match format: Matches are best of three sets, with a third-set tiebreaker instead of a full third set.
Playoffs & Championships: Winning teams from Western NC may advance to local playoffs, the NC State Championships, and potentially Southern Sectionals, and USTA Nationals.
